archives20th Annual Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage RacingToday Ian and I had a great time touring the vintage racing gathering at Pacific Raceways which is a gorgeous 30 minutes away. It was two-tshirt & top-down weather with the mountains persistently breaking through the clouds throughout the day. Perfect. This is the description from their website: There were lots of really neat cars in the car corral, and not just oldies but newer ones as well. I was able to park the Viper in the corral and it drew a few people immediately. Ian just sat there with his hat over his head since he doesn't enjoy strangers looking at him. The poor guy was still in his car seat. I had the only sports car there with a child's car seat installed. We walked over to the stands and watched a few warmup laps, and then set off to find some earplugs since the cars were so loud Ian couldn't stand it. We spent the next few hours walking around looking at cars and booths. We each had a great hot dog and coke, then he spent a bit of time in the jumping castle. After that it was back to the stands to watch some races. He had his first sno-cone(watermelon), and then spent some time playing on a playground. After that, we headed home. It's really hard to not drive a sports car like a sports car after leaving an event like that. By theman at 07/06/2008 - 23:12 | Everything Else | add new comment | 70 reads

SleepWe couldn't find it in the budget to fly Eric up to take pictures, but here are some pretty good ones I think. By stepineb at 07/07/2008 - 20:10 | Kids | add new comment | 76 reads
