Cowboy Zebra

We had a nice picnic at Point No Point Lighthouse. The boys took their trucks to push around in the sand and into the water.

The boys have quickly figured out that Pop will do anything for them!

Yesterday we took the ferry to Vashon Island which sits between the Kitsap Peninsula (where we live) and Seattle. One of the beaches we went to had a nice sand spit that we walked out on. As we were going out, my mom said, "Now we need to be very careful because the tide is coming in and we'll get stuck out on the sand." I said something about it being fine and the water wouldn't come in THAT fast. The water was nice and shallow for a long ways out, so the boys and I waded around in the cold water. A few other people joined us on the spit and after a little while they all left. All the sudden Mom said we had to go right then because the tide had already washed over our path of sand. So Mom and Dad had to take off their shoes as well to wade back to land. By the time we all got across, their was nothing left but a small sandbar!
