### MPH

### MPH

Here I am practicing since I had to drive the Viper solo today (because Nathan had to pick up his motorcycle from the shop). We hit ###(redacted) mph, but it actually wasn't while I was driving.

Ruby Beach

Ruby Beach

So much beauty.

Big Tree

Big Tree

Though not the biggest we saw (the Japanese were hogging that one).

The Hoh Rainforest

The Hoh Rainforest

We visited the Hoh rain forest which is close to Forks. It had lots of big trees with lots of moss. I was glad we went, but gladder that we didn't spend a whole day to travel just to see the "The Hoh"

Misty Valley

Misty Valley

The view from the deck of the B&B. They have Elk frequent the land below, however we didn't see any during our short stay.

Alarm Clock

Alarm Clock

The owners of the bed and breakfast say that alarm clocks are not allowed in the guest rooms. Instead, you tell them when you want to wake up, and they knock on your door at that time to wake you leaving a tray of coffee, tea or cocoa outside your door. Here is the card they put on the tray along with a fresh rose, your hot beverage of choice, and a chocolate covered coffee bean sitting on the spoon. For breakfast, we could chose from five or six different items. Nathan chose the french toast and I chose the Moroccan omelet which had caramelized onions and mushrooms in it and then was smothered in a beauchamel sauce. Before the main course we were served hot blueberry muffins and hot spiced peaches with cream. Needless to say, we were quite stuffed afterwords and didn't need to eat again until supper time!

Our Trip

Our Trip

Seems longer than 322 miles, given the array of things we saw and experienced in two days.

Bed and Breakfast

Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast. The owners were very nice and outgoing. The lady of the house had all sorts of sweets for us to enjoy that afternoon and evening and she also gave us a complete rundown of all the local restaurants and attractions. We ended up going to a Mexican place for supper and we were not disappointed.

Hole in the Wall

Hole in the Wall

Sea Creatures

Sea Creatures

There were hundreds of sea anemones in the hole in the wall tidal pools. We also saw this sea star amongst some of the anemones.

Hole in the Wall

Hole in the Wall

We hiked 1 1/2 miles or so to see the "Hole in the Wall". During low tide you can walk into it. During high tide, the ground is covered with water.
